Japanese clichés Albert Kahn Museum

In November 1908, the banker Albert Kahn finds himself in Japan for a business trip. Literally fell in love with the country, it brings back many pictures and the proposed construction of a Japanese garden at his home in Boulogne. Landscapes of mountains, trees in blossom, geisha in kimonos, imperial family, Noh Theatre actors ... these few photographs taken at the beginning twentieth century will delight fans of Japan forever.
